About NCRB
A licensed digital investigation agency built on the principle that good decisions require good intelligence.
A Different Kind of Investigative Firm
NCRB is a licensed Dutch investigation agency (Wpbr, POB 1737) specializing in digital investigation. We serve insurers, law firms, corporates, SMEs, NGOs, and private clients, in the Netherlands and in files with a cross-border element in more than twenty countries.
Founded in 2019 on a simple premise: that modern investigations require modern methods. While many traditional firms have bolted digital capabilities onto legacy practices, NCRB was built digital-first. Open-source intelligence forms the foundation of our work and is supplemented, where lawful and appropriate, with specialist data sources and external expertise. Depending on the research question, we can examine relevant sources in several countries. Where local knowledge, formal powers, or physical work are required, we involve suitable specialists or refer you on.
Since 2019 NCRB has completed more than 300 investigations for professional and private clients in over 20 countries. Results and feasibility differ per case.

Who handles your case?
NCRB is led by Rik V., a licensed private investigator since 2019, certified through OSMOSIS (OSC) and IACA. Because we investigate fraud and criminal money flows, we do not publish investigators' full names online. You receive the full name at intake and in every engagement letter. Law firms and insurers can run a conflict check beforehand.

One point of contact, specialists where needed
You work with the lead investigator of NCRB from intake to report. When a case needs extra capacity or specific expertise, we bring in a vetted specialist from our fixed network. Always under the responsibility of NCRB, under confidentiality, and only with your knowledge. One contract, one report, one point of contact.
What Guides Our Work
Objectivity
We present facts, not opinions. Every investigation starts without assumptions, and our reports tell you what we found, not what you want to hear.
Confidentiality
Discretion is not an add-on. It is fundamental. Our data handling, communication, and reporting processes are designed to protect your interests at every stage.
Thoroughness
We do not stop at the surface. Relevant sources are checked against other data points where possible, relevant lines of inquiry are assessed within the agreed scope, and findings are documented with source references and their limitations.
Compliance
GDPR-compliant operations as standard. We are licensed, our methods are lawful, and our reporting is structured for your intended use.

DatalekChecker.nl: free data breach check
Alongside our investigative work, we built DatalekChecker.nl: a free tool that lets anyone check within seconds whether an email address appears in more than a thousand known data breaches and in infostealer logs. No registration, and the input is not stored. It is our way of making part of our field accessible to everyone: knowing whether your data is out there is the first step in protecting yourself.
