Fraud & Scam Investigation
Investigation of online fraud, scams, and deceptive schemes, for organizations and individuals.
If you've been targeted by an online scam, you need clarity fast. Who is behind it, what can still be traced, and what are your options? NCRB investigates across the full spectrum of online fraud: romance scams, investment fraud, business email compromise, identity theft, and cryptocurrency schemes, combining digital investigation with blockchain analysis where crypto is involved.
For cases involving cryptocurrency, we provide blockchain analysis, tracing transactions across Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other chains to identify wallets, exchanges, and the people behind them. Transaction flow diagrams and exchange identification reports are included where applicable.
Whether you are a corporation protecting its interests or an individual seeking answers, we deliver the same level of expertise and discretion.

I was scammed online. Which agency in the Netherlands investigates fraud?
NCRB is a licensed investigation agency (Wpbr licence POB 1737) that investigates fraud internationally for private clients, law firms, insurers, and companies. We investigate online scams, investment fraud, crypto fraud, romance scams, WhatsApp fraud, and fake webshops, and document the findings in a report suitable for a police complaint or legal proceedings.
Can NCRB identify the person behind a scam?
There are often leads: phone numbers, email addresses, domain registrations, bank accounts, wallet addresses, and social media profiles. Using OSINT and payment traces we map these. Identification is never guaranteed, but even without a name a substantiated file is valuable for the police, your bank, or your lawyer.
What is the difference between an NCRB fraud investigation and a police report?
A police report is always advisable and often required by banks and insurers. The police, however, prioritize on scale and capacity. NCRB works on your instruction, starts immediately, preserves volatile online evidence, and delivers a file that strengthens your police report, bank complaint, or civil claim. We do not replace the police; we support your process.
Does NCRB investigate crypto fraud, boiler room fraud, and pig butchering?
Yes. Fake investment platforms, fake crypto brokers, and "pig butchering" (long-term scams built on a fabricated relationship) are daily practice. We combine OSINT on the persons and the platform with blockchain tracing of the payments, so you know where the money went and who or what is behind it, as far as the sources allow.
What should I preserve before contacting you?
Everything available: chat conversations with usernames and numbers, emails with headers, screenshots of profiles and websites, payment receipts, IBANs, wallet addresses, and transaction hashes. Delete nothing and send no further money. Our articles on preserving evidence after a scam provide a checklist.
What does a fraud investigation cost?
It depends on scope: the number of persons and leads, the countries involved, and the reporting required. The first conversation and a short feasibility check are free; after that you receive a scope and a fixed price or cost ceiling before any work begins. We are honest when an investigation is not proportionate to your loss.
After being scammed online, NCRB helped document the digital traces, clarify the facts, and organize evidence in a usable way. Professional and compassionate throughout.
